Count Down to the First Anniversary
One year ago today I took my husband from the hospital to hospice care at the nursing home. On the seventh of October, it will be the one year anniversary of his passing. I thought i was handling it well, but honestly, I'm not.
He realy only knew me and my son. Neither one of us went to funerals, so I've never had one for him. What would a few of my friends saying goodbye realy benefit?
The hospice we used has a remembrance Ceremony in November, that will just have to do. After all, he said I should do whatever I needed to go on and be happy.
My heart isn't broken, it's breaking nonstop since the day he passed, and it doesn't seem to end. God, when will my heart stop breaking.?
